Work Out Loud (!)

About me, CSW & WOL(!)

Kristin Wolff (’kris-tin\’wülf) n. 1. Student of (life, work, people, communities, culture, and) economic and social change. 2. Resident of (the universe, earth, North America, the US and) Portland, Oregon. 3. Aspiring rainmaker, photographer, documentary film-maker and new media maven. 4. Sagittarius (curious, optimistic, and occasionally feisty). v. Kristin leads the Community Initiatives Team at the Corporation for a Skilled Workforce (Ann Arbor, MI) and serves as the primary author of this blog (expect guests to contribute too).

Work out Loud (!) is about three things (for now):

  1. Moving resources, thoughts, and ideas off of my little mac’s desktop (and out of endless folders) and into a taggable, searchable, social spaces.
  2. Sharing what’s new(s) and noteworthy more widely. We already share volumes with each other – if our collective radar also helps others find information useful to them, we’d be delighted.
  3. Engaging peers, partners, and friends (old and new) in conversation about work, learning, and prosperity today and into the future.

Corporation for a Skilled Workforce (CSW) is a national non-profit policy organization that helps leaders create jobs, cultivate talent, and find pathways to community prosperity. We work with policy-makers, investors (philanthropic and otherwise), and business and trade organizations on change efforts rooted in economic, workforce, and community development.

Kristin’s WOL(!) disclaimer: While the contents of this blog are rooted in my (and our) work, the opinions expressed are the those of the writer(s) alone an do not reflect the views of CSW or its Board of Directors unless otherwise stated.

Kristin’s thanks: Many thanks to Matthew Smith who found, photographed, and shared the (brilliant) red megaphone.
